The Rise and Fall of Quora
I read an article recently on the web in which the author talked about a new website out called Quora. Personally I had never heard of it, so it peaked my interest and i took a look at it. Quora is apparently an online service and a substitute for first and last stop questioning. Basically, the creators were hoping to create an expansive collection of questions provided by the users and answers to go along with them. My first reaction was, well isn't that why Google is my homepage? Still, the article I read does not speak highly of the arising site, calling it time consuming and built upon some serious flaws. If you'd like to take a look at it, here's the link! http://socialmediatoday.com/markwschaefer/266634/quor-gasm-shakes-social-web. I wonder if this site will become the success that the creators envisioned it to become, or if it will simply crumble and fade into obscurity like so many websites before it.
