I was posting some comments in an earlier post where a site called peekyou.com was the site in question. It tracks down any info about you from myspace, facebook, twitter, etc. I went on the site and found many different links to other people trackers. I found these sites to be a huge privacy issue and also downright disturbing. When I looked up how to find people on google I came up with an article about sites to find people called "How to track down anyone online". I was just wondering if everyone else finds this such a huge invasion of privacy as I do. Also to note, I tried have of these websites and they aren't very accurate to boot. Yes I find this disturbing and invasive. We should have the right to privacy and safety. It seems like more and more of these sites keep popping up and I can only wonder what other dangerous websites will be available in the future.
ReplyDeleteI browsed the website you mentioned and I found it to be disturbing and invasive. Another website I found and is becoming popular is MyLife. Websites like these make reluctant to create accounts online, but nevertheless, I still signed up for facebook recently.
